Whitefish Mountain Resort

The snow was incredible. The lodge was clean and organized and the food was healthy and great tasting. There was a coffee shop and a separate station for drinks and beers on tap. The Olympics were playing on the big screen while they also had live music. The freestyle park was very small, but well-maintained and balanced, I was expecting a little more there. Overall, fantastic Resort, and I like how the Three Peaks all merge at the bottom where the lodge is located. If you're a beginner I would go elsewhere, this mountain and it's terrain is for the more experienced rider.

Fantastic mountain with a ton of terrain at great prices. This is the third winter in a row we have gone for a trip and it never disappoints. The lodge has decent food at good prices for a mountain. And the lift ticket prices can't be beat. Make sure to order in advance online for discounted lift tickets. The SNOW bus will bring you from town right to the mountain and the bar Screwball Hot Chocolates are a perfect end to the afternoon. For your money, there may not be a better mountain in the US.

Entirely too many COMPLETELY flat stretches. Its reasonable if it's 15 or 20 yards here or there. We were on at least 4 of them requiring over 150 yards of pushing/walking and a couple that were 400+ yards. Some trails should be more clearly marked because novice/early intermediate could find themselves in trouble as is - partly due to visibility at times. That's it - everything else is great. Crowds were very reasonable. People were great and helpful. No lift was ever longer than a 5 minute wait with only an exception here or there if someone fell. It felt like it did skiing 25 years ago when things were more chill and less corporate. The town was very close to run in for a grocery store or restaurant. I would absolutely return here. If I knew someone who was going we'd have a 30 minute map study session. Avoid at all costs Gray Wolf or Ridge Run.

Awesome! What a great place! For our 1st time skiing this was fantastic! They have everything you need for one, so if you do forget something, no worries! Long read, but worth it! We took lessons, I highly recommend this if you have never skied. They were so important to us enjoying this when we went out on our own. The lessons teach you the basics and the overall run of the place so you don’t feel like so lost. We rented gear, except helmets, we picked up some fairly good ones on Amazon. The rentals were purchased in advance which is helpful for just getting in line, however you get super good discounts from taking their lessons, so I’d recommend waiting all together on gear and lift tickets if you take lessons. Rented boots were uncomfortable, but we were told this in advance plus we had never skied so our feet thought we tortured them the 1st day. I took a few days break and adjusting the boots helps, also only wear a thin pair of long socks under them, thick stuff only hurts the calves and shins more. By our 3rd day we were so enjoying it! But it took time and patience. The resort has photographers that take action shots as you go and you can purchase them on the 3rd floor. We had some great ones that we purchased. Most of everyone was pretty friendly & helpful as well. The food options are fit for everyone! You would definitely find something you liked. The chili and chicken pot pie was my favorite. They also had curly fries which is a plus! Coffee and bar areas also on site. Plenty of seating indoors and out, but on those busy days maybe take lunch outside of a normal time so you can ensure to have a good spot to sit without the crowd. Overall 10/10, a super cool experience for our 1st time!

Just amazing! A lot of things make this place special but being privately owned makes it even better. Hope Bill Foley keeps Whitefish and doesn’t sell out to Alltera or Vail. Love the mountains and the community around it.

Whitefish is such a gem! This is our second year skiing here, and we look forward to many more.We wanted to share that Randy was an exceptional private instructor for our daughter. In just a couple of lessons, she was skiing the whole mountain. Randy is patient, kind, and provides excellent instructions and cues. If we make it back next year, we will definitely book with him again.

Amazing 2 days of well manicured groomers explored the whole mountain and loved it all. For it not being a very good season and very little fresh powder, Whitefish delivered 2 incredibly memorable days of sliding down mountains!

I’m going to start with the amazing Staff. They were so nice and helpful to us. They took their time to explain everything and make sure we were comfortable as beginners. The lodge was very beautiful and the slopes are top notch! We truly enjoyed our time and appreciated all of the staff! Easy to find but parking can be a challenge. Get there early if you want to take a lesson.
